CBSE CTET January 2024 Exam Eligibility Code Details

CTET Primary Level (Class I to V) Eligibility with Code

  1. Completion of Senior Secondary education (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and successful completion or enrollment in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education is a prerequisite.OR
  2. Attainment of at least 45% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and successful completion or current enrollment in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, adhering to the NCTE 2002 norms, is a mandatory requirement.OR
  3. Completion of Senior Secondary education (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and successful completion or ongoing enrollment in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) is a prerequisite.OR
  4. Attainment of at least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and successful completion or current enrollment in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) is required.

CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII) Eligibility with Code

  1. Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree and successful completion or current enrollment in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any designated name) is mandatory.OR
  2. Attainment of a minimum of 50% marks in either Graduation or Post-Graduation, along with successful completion or current enrollment in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), is a prerequisite.OR
  3. Completion of Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and successful completion or current enrollment in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), following the NCTE Norms, is required.OR
  4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  5. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
  6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. / (B.Ed Special Education)
  7. An individual who has successfully completed a B.Ed. Program recognized by the NCTE is eligible to participate in TET/CTET. Additionally, in accordance with the prevailing TET guidelines outlined in the NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person enrolled in any teacher education course (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as applicable) as specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also considered qualified to take the TET/CTET.OR
  8. Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
